Designs, simulates, prototypes, tests, and troubleshoots analog and digital electronic circuits throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include PCB design, manufacturability collaboration, mechanical packaging, laboratory testing, regulatory compliance, corrective actions, engineering process support, and mentoring less experienced engineers. The role supports high-voltage disconnect switch and automation products, including new product development, design improvements, obsolescence solutions, and manufacturing test systems.

Creates and improves mechanical products, parts, technical drawings, design standards, drafting procedures, and bills of materials. Uses CAD software to develop designs from sketches and specifications through manufacturing and testing. Collaborates with engineers, customers, manufacturers, and stakeholders to interpret requirements, resolve design questions, support manufacturing processes, and ensure documentation meets engineering and customer specifications.
