Manage corporate logistics across national and local operations, including FTL, LTL, small-package, import/export, machinery moves, freight claims, and carrier relationships. Develop logistics strategies, budgets, contracts, and cost-saving initiatives while analyzing transportation data and monitoring KPIs. Standardize processes, ensure DOT and OSHA compliance, lead performance reviews, support plant teams, and present recommendations to senior leadership. Travel to facilities and coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams, carriers, brokers, and third-party logistics providers.

Supervises manufacturing employees and leads production scheduling to meet shipping requirements while maximizing efficiency. Ensures workplace safety, product quality, inventory accuracy, equipment maintenance, housekeeping, payroll approval, employee training, and compliance with company policies. The role also supports hiring, performance management, continuous improvement, and coordination with maintenance and offsite locations. Work occurs in a physically demanding manufacturing environment requiring PPE, prolonged standing, lifting, and operation around cranes and forklifts.

Participate in a 1–2 year operations management training program covering production, machine operation, safety, quality, scheduling, logistics, material resource planning, and frontline supervision. Trainees develop cross-functional knowledge across Sales, HR, Purchasing, IT, and Finance, with potential advancement to Plant Supervisor or higher management and possible relocation to another facility.
