Teams at Claflin University

Manage the university's annual operating budget, develop revenue and expense estimates, prepare analyses for leadership, provide guidance and training to department budget officers, and develop/implement budgetary policies, procedures, and internal processes.

Provide grant and research administration support: identify funding, prepare and submit proposals, ensure compliance with institutional and government regulations (Uniform Guidance, FAR), monitor grant-funded projects, develop and deliver training, and assist the Associate Vice Provost of Research with regulatory documentation and grant management.

Review and enter payroll source documents, process adjustments (overtime, incentives, docks), manage pre-tax deductions, prepare payroll-related payment vouchers, review tax reports and submissions via Paycom, reconcile deduction liabilities, assist audits, and coordinate with third-party administrators to ensure payroll compliance.
