Patrols assigned areas to maintain law and order, respond to dispatched calls, investigate incidents, issue citations or arrests, prepare reports, attend court, provide emergency aid, conduct traffic enforcement, community policing, security checks, and participate in ongoing training and special assignments.

Supports citywide human resources operations, including benefits administration, billing audits, full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, personnel transactions, HRIS maintenance, I-9 audits, job description updates, employee policy communication, reporting, and employment-law compliance. Requires discretion, accuracy, independent judgment, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

Develops and administers zoning ordinances, comprehensive land-use plans, development regulations, and planning programs. Reviews plats, construction plans, and development proposals for code compliance; conducts site inspections; advises applicants; prepares recommendations; presents plans to the Planning Commission; coordinates with city departments, agencies, engineers, and developers; and supports public relations, special projects, programs, and grants.
