Manage and review complex municipal planning projects including comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning, annexations, site plans and plats. Supervise staff, prepare and present reports to boards and officials, coordinate regional planning programs (natural/water resources, hazard mitigation, coastal management), and provide professional planning assistance to communities.

Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries; manage the annual audit, budget and 5-year CIP; oversee grant reporting, fixed asset accounting, and compliance reporting; assist the Finance Director and perform financial analyses and internal control duties. Maintain timely month-end close processes and prepare required federal/state reports and audit schedules.

Responds to fires and emergencies to protect life and property by performing firefighting, rescue, hazardous materials response, and emergency medical care. Maintains and operates apparatus and equipment, conducts inspections and prevention programs, participates in training, community education, and station upkeep.
