The Senior Planner reviews development proposals, zoning matters, comprehensive plans, and land development regulations. The role conducts research and planning studies, provides technical guidance, prepares public-hearing materials, supports budgets and capital priorities, and represents the Planning Department before boards, committees, elected officials, and the public. Responsibilities include supervising project progress, advising on planning policies, coordinating staff assignments, and addressing issues involving housing, mobility, climate policy, urban design, and economic development.
