The Director of Education and Development will lead the training, onboarding, and organizational learning strategies at Citarella, enhancing operational excellence and company culture.

Develop and execute merchandising and category strategies for premium specialty foods. Manage vendor and distributor relationships, pricing, promotions, inventory and supply coordination, and analyze sales and margin performance to optimize assortments and profitability. Support in-store merchandising, new product introductions, and reporting to senior leadership.

Manage front-end/cashier operations to ensure exceptional guest service, department profitability, compliance with transaction procedures, staff training and scheduling, inventory and supply oversight, and effective issue escalation. Drive guest engagement, supervise daily returns/credits and register key controls, assist hiring, and motivate the team to meet service and sales goals.
