Perform a range of obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound procedures, assist providers with special scans, prepare and maintain exam rooms, verify and document imaging and patient history, and ensure image quality and sterile technique in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Perform coding and compliance audits, document quality issues, meet with providers to review findings, develop and deliver coding and documentation education, maintain training records and provider communication logs, and recommend corrective actions and quality improvements.

Prepare and process tissue specimens and histologic slides, perform staining (H&E, IHC), run tissue processors and automation, enter data into EMRs, maintain inventory and logs, ship/send consultation cases, support quality and regulatory compliance, assist pathologists and cytotechnologists, and perform clerical duties. May travel between lab sites and train or supervise junior staff.

Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams (abdominal, breast, thyroid, vascular, testicular, soft tissue), prepare and position patients, verify orders, document clinical history, use PACS to verify and record images, assist radiologists with biopsies/drainages, maintain sterile technique and ensure image quality.

Greet and check in patients, verify and update demographics and insurance, collect and post copayments/prepayments, balance cash drawer, communicate patient arrivals to clinical areas, provide coverage at information/limited mobility desk, and assist with general front-desk functions and trainings.

Provide professional nursing care in an OB/GYN clinic: administer medications and injections, assist providers with exams and procedures, triage calls, schedule tests/surgeries/appointments, manage EMR results and follow-up, obtain prior authorizations, instruct patients, and act as liaison between patients and providers.
