Teams at Chicago Behavioral Hospital

Assist with daily Human Resources needs at a behavioral hospital during a summer or fall internship. The position is unpaid and may be completed for school credit. Candidates must meet nursing education and licensure requirements listed, with psychiatric facility experience preferred, and may need CPR, behavioral management training, competency testing, flexible hours, and overtime.

Oversee the hospital’s utilization review program, coordinate case management and treatment planning, communicate with managed care organizations and external reviewers, and support performance improvement activities. The role reviews service requests, evaluates departmental performance measures, maintains quality records, and presents findings to organizational leadership and governing committees. Candidates need a relevant degree, clinical mental health experience, patient assessment and treatment-planning expertise, and preferably an Illinois behavioral health license.

The Chief Financial Officer oversees financial and accounting operations, reporting, budgeting, audits, internal controls, cash flow, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and compliance. The CFO advises the CEO on financial strategy, leads cost-control and efficiency initiatives, and supervises accounting and business office staff. The role requires at least three years as a healthcare Controller and a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
