Chicago Behavioral Hospital Benefits Overview

Coordinates psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment planning for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health patients. Collaborates with psychiatrists, nurses, mental health technicians, social workers, therapists, and educators to provide safe, therapeutic, person-centered care. Requires Illinois physician licensure, psychiatric board certification or eligibility, an accredited MD, and at least three years of psychiatric clinical experience.

Oversee third-party payer receivables, collections, billing follow-up, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close activities. Supervise billers, collectors, and financial counselors; troubleshoot accounts; liaise with payers; train staff; and ensure compliance with organizational policies. The role requires healthcare collection experience, knowledge of hospital billing and insurance regulations, strong communication, organization, and deadline management.

Provides clinical leadership and oversight for outpatient mental health services, including therapist supervision, staff training, treatment planning, documentation review, regulatory compliance, interdisciplinary collaboration, performance evaluation, crisis intervention, and coordination with community agencies. The supervisor supports high-quality, individualized patient care and ensures effective program operations and communication across treatment teams.
