Unpaid marketing and communications interns create and edit content, support social media strategy, assist with multimedia projects and events, design marketing materials, conduct audience and communications research, update websites, analyze campaign performance, and provide administrative and project support. Interns collaborate with marketing staff and organizational leaders while promoting Chestnut’s mission and maintaining confidentiality.

Provides peer recovery support to adolescents in a school-based setting using lived recovery experience. Responsibilities include engagement before, during, and after treatment; family education; connecting individuals with treatment, recovery communities, and resources; advocacy; service coordination; documentation in EMR systems; and promoting sobriety-based and pro-social activities using recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care principles.

Provides supervised, hands-on exposure to behavioral health and integrated care services. Interns observe individual and group sessions, monitor clients with staff, shadow employment specialists, participate in outreach and groups, and observe direct care across inpatient and outpatient programs. Client populations include individuals experiencing mental health needs, substance use disorders, homelessness, domestic violence, trauma, and other significant challenges.
