The role requires strong nonprofit accounting and GAAP knowledge, accurate deadline management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, QuickBooks Online, BILL, and Sage Intacct in a fully remote environment.

Reviews monthly close workpapers, reconciliations, financial statements, and audit schedules for GAAP compliance and accuracy. Researches nonprofit accounting issues, prepares technical memoranda, monitors accounting developments, and updates policies. Develops and delivers internal and client-facing training, coaches accounting staff, coordinates review and training projects, and maintains technical resources. Uses accounting, workflow, analytics, and AI tools while supporting process improvements and protecting client information.

Guide nonprofit clients through onboarding by reviewing records, resolving discrepancies, preparing reconciliations, and supporting full-cycle accounting. Prepare month-end closes, financial statements, journal entries, audit schedules, Form 990 support, grant reporting, cash-flow forecasts, and budgets. Manage multiple client deadlines while maintaining compliance, quality, accuracy, and effective remote collaboration.
