Assists elementary teachers with classroom instruction, learning activities, student supervision, playground and lunchroom safety, clerical tasks, and classroom preparation. Works individually or in small groups with students, supports field trips and dismissal, maintains confidentiality, attends training, and operates instructional equipment. Requires a high school diploma or GED, English fluency, background-check clearance, basic office and student-information-system proficiency, and preferably experience working with children, including children with disabilities.

Provides classroom coverage for absent elementary teachers by delivering prepared lessons, maintaining classroom routines, supervising student behavior, documenting daily activities, and following school policies. The substitute collaborates with principals, supervisors, teachers, and staff while protecting confidential student and staff information. Requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of the district substitute workshop, basic computer skills, effective communication, time management, and commitment to company values.
