Supports inclusive therapeutic recreation programs for individuals with disabilities, including sports, swimming, fitness, outings, and social events. Responsibilities include participant supervision, personal care, mobility assistance, behavior support, equipment setup, documentation, incident reporting, and communication with program leaders. The role requires active participation in activities, safe transfers, wheelchair assistance, and working indoors or outdoors. Training is provided, including CPR, First Aid, CPI, mandated reporter, and driver training when applicable.

Lead inclusive afterschool activities for youth with varied abilities, ensuring safety, participation, and positive social development. Supervise participants during play, transitions, field trips, and water-based activities; provide trained first aid; maintain attendance and incident documentation; organize program spaces and supplies; communicate participant needs; and complete required meetings and training.

Lead district-wide community engagement to connect underserved residents with parks and recreation. Build partnerships with organizations and schools, recruit and manage volunteers, coordinate outreach events and advisory groups, develop volunteer policies, evaluate program effectiveness, and collaborate across departments to expand access and inclusion.
