Responsibilities include improving coding agents for development, testing, and code review; creating better development environments, faster tests, and reliable deployment workflows; and building a platform for launching experiments, comparing results, and guiding future research.

Build the AI platform enabling scientists and agents to collaborate on therapeutic research. Develop agent execution, model inference, and scientific tool abstractions; create products that accelerate experimentation and decision-making; and partner with scientists to define workflows across people, agents, and models. The role requires strong software architecture, product judgment, and practical understanding of agent reliability and evaluation.

Develop and execute strategic initiatives for Chai’s AI-powered molecular design business. Frame complex business questions, conduct customer and expert research, build quantitative analyses, make recommendations, and drive decisions through implementation. Projects may cover pricing, market expansion, product strategy, lab capacity, computing infrastructure, and data generation. The role requires structured quantitative thinking, sound judgment with incomplete information, cross-functional influence, and the ability to learn technical domains quickly.
