Develop, integrate, and test FPGA gateware and embedded SoC firmware for high-speed beam-position monitoring systems. Implement data acquisition, real-time digital signal processing, and embedded processing algorithms. Validate systems in laboratory and accelerator environments, perform Python-based data analysis, support measurement campaigns, and collaborate with engineers, physicists, and technicians at CERN.

Design, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize CERN’s large-scale distributed storage services across multiple data centers. Work with Ceph-based block, object, and filesystem solutions, including CephFS and NFS integrations. Diagnose Linux, hardware, network, and software issues; develop C++ improvements for Ceph; and contribute to automation, observability, documentation, incident response, change management, and user support.

Provides second-line support for business applications, assists users, coordinates hardware interventions and asset inventory, maintains technical documentation, and supports IT security and process automation. The role involves collaborating with application experts, service providers, and service desk teams to resolve incidents and improve service delivery. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, no more than two years of professional experience since graduation, and eligibility as a CERN Member or Associate Member State national.
