Collaborate with Product Owners on enterprise software roadmaps while improving security, SRE, quality engineering, deployment, monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices.

Research and prototype connectivity solutions for smart energy devices, including EV chargers, heat pumps, batteries, smart meters, sensors, and edge gateways. Evaluate communication protocols, interoperability, security, scalability, and reliability through technical experiments. Build proof-of-concept systems using Raspberry Pi, embedded Linux, microcontrollers, and cloud platforms. Produce recommendations, technical reports, research papers, presentations, and demonstrator documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, universities, technology companies, and standards organizations.

A 12-month technology placement providing hands-on experience across areas such as AI, data science, cybersecurity, software development, cloud engineering, digital products, platform engineering, site reliability, innovation, and integrations. The intern will contribute to meaningful business projects, develop technical and professional skills, and receive structured mentoring and development support. The role requires a relevant degree, UK work authorization, willingness to travel or relocate, and availability to start in June 2027.
