Teams at Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment

Provides supervised substance abuse counseling services to individuals, couples, groups, and families. Duties include screening, intake, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, referrals, client education, documentation, and collaboration with treatment teams and community agencies. The intern participates in meetings and training while developing clinical skills under the direction of licensed professionals.

Provides daily care and emotional support to residents in a residential substance use treatment program. Monitors patient behavior and progress, records observations, supports group participation, takes vital signs, administers or monitors medications under supervision, responds to crises, completes admission and discharge paperwork, and helps maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
