Manages and mentors a sustaining design engineering team responsible for post-launch product improvements, CAD updates, prototyping, validation, design releases, and manufacturing implementation. Leads DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA, design reviews, engineering changes, and customer-driven technical escalations. Partners with Applications Engineering, Manufacturing, and customers to troubleshoot issues, improve product quality, and support automotive electrical connection systems through DV, PV, and SOP phases.

Lead cross-functional new product introduction programs from concept through full production. Manage phase gates, schedules, risks, dependencies, customer requirements, validation, production trials, PPAP/FAI documentation, quality systems, and launch targets for safety, quality, delivery, yield, and cost. Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, applications, and business development teams while driving accountability and issue resolution. The role is 100% onsite when not traveling and requires up to 20% travel.

Leads development, optimization, scale-up, qualification, and production release of roll-to-roll and material-conversion processes involving coatings, polymers, films, laminations, and adhesive bonding. Applies thermodynamics, heat transfer, materials science, DOE, and statistical analysis to establish process windows, troubleshoot failures, and transfer technologies into high-volume manufacturing. Provides technical leadership to engineers and technicians while collaborating with R&D, equipment, automation, quality, operations, and suppliers.
