CBC/Radio-Canada Benefits Overview

Reporters will pitch, research, write, and present live and taped news stories for local and national broadcast programs and other editorial platforms. The role requires strong French and English skills, reporting and interviewing expertise, knowledge of Manitoba and Franco-Manitoban issues, and the ability to work under tight deadlines, including weekends. This is an on-call, fully onsite position requiring a valid driver's licence and collaboration across teams.

Lead the design, procurement, implementation, testing, and handover of complex IT infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include developing infrastructure solutions, managing schedules and budgets, deploying cloud, container, virtualization, storage, and security systems, overseeing vendors, validating performance, resolving deficiencies, and preparing operational documentation. The role requires hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, OpenShift, infrastructure automation, critical systems, and project delivery across CBC/Radio-Canada locations.

Produces and assigns daily TV, radio, streaming, digital, and social news content for CBC North. Leads editorial planning, story development, fact-checking, script editing, and journalistic standards while coordinating reporters across Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. Coaches and mentors journalists, supports hosts and producers, manages deadlines, and develops innovative, audience-focused programming with emphasis on Inuktitut-language content and Northern communities.
