The Nurse Manager leads the Supportive Health Services Department, overseeing safe, person-centered nursing care and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include supervising and evaluating RNs, LPNs, Supportive Health Assistants, and other staff; mentoring employees; and developing, implementing, and evaluating health education and competency programs. The role requires an associate degree in nursing, an active New York State RN license, OPWDD experience, a valid driver’s license, and personal transportation.

Supports runaway and homeless youth through school outreach, resource connections, life-skills education, leadership development, and supervision at a youth drop-in center. Builds relationships with schools and community partners, facilitates practical “Adulting” classes, supports youth-led events including the annual Youth Summit, and creates a safe, welcoming environment. Training is provided, and prior RHY experience is not required.

Provides case management for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Responsibilities include processing referrals, completing assessments and documentation, developing service plans, coordinating community resources, delivering advocacy and direct support, arranging transportation and financial assistance, supporting employment readiness and housing goals, and coordinating with internal departments and external agencies.
