Provides direct medical-surgical nursing care under registered-nurse supervision. Administers medications, performs patient assessments, implements and evaluates care plans, documents treatment and patient responses, educates patients and families, maintains safety protocols, responds to emergencies, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team. The role requires Missouri LPN or compact licensure, BLS and NIH certifications, strong nursing assessment and communication skills, and the ability to perform heavy physical work in an infectious-disease-risk environment.

Reviews and follows up on commercial insurance and managed care claims, ensuring accurate billing, coding, modifiers, reimbursements, and timely denial resolution. Works unapplied credits, resolves patient account issues, processes payments and financial assistance, documents communications, and provides customer service. Supports cashier and PBX functions, participates in business office operations, follows departmental policies, and contributes to process improvement.

Provides direct support to patients and the care team by monitoring patients, reporting concerns and abnormal vital signs to registered nurses, maintaining necessary supplies, and assisting with age-specific patient needs. The role involves no formal supervision or policy-setting responsibilities and may involve exposure to bodily fluids, hazardous substances, and combative patients.
