Leads product discovery and delivery to improve CarMax’s online and in-store car-buying experiences. Conducts customer research, validates hypotheses, prioritizes opportunities, sets product vision, and collaborates with engineering, design, and business stakeholders. Develop and enhance predictive models for search and recommendations using large datasets, statistical methods, and machine learning. Incorporate new data sources, design controlled experiments, communicate insights to senior leadership, research emerging methodologies, and help shape the data science roadmap. The role also requires collaboration, project delivery, and explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
