Schedule and coordinate outpatient cardiology appointments, manage patient communications, referrals, insurance verification, and authorizations. Provide clerical support through documentation management and data entry while coordinating with clinical departments to support efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.

Secures pre-authorizations for hospital procedures by reviewing schedules, verifying CPT and ICD-10 codes, contacting insurers, managing peer-to-peer requests and appeals, and communicating approval updates to patients. The specialist reviews medical charts, collaborates with providers and hospital pre-service teams, maintains accurate authorization records, follows insurance guidelines, and complies with HIPAA requirements.

Supervise daily operations across two cardiology clinics, including staffing, scheduling, timecards, coverage planning, workflow optimization, patient service recovery, compliance, and performance improvement. The supervisor mentors clinical and administrative staff, resolves concerns, supports strategic initiatives, and collaborates with providers and leadership to improve patient experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory adherence.
