Own backend systems for video exports, proxies, media preprocessing, analysis, and AI-powered editing. Maintain APIs and state contracts across browsers, workers, storage, and databases. Improve long-running workflows including uploads, processing, progress tracking, recovery, and exports. The role requires production backend ownership, distributed workflow reasoning, media-format knowledge, and flexibility across TypeScript, Go, Rust, or Python. Deep FFmpeg, GStreamer, or codec expertise is a bonus.

Own the quality measurement and improvement of an AI video-editing agent. Build evaluation datasets, offline and online evaluations, automated checks, human reviews, regression gates, and release criteria. Analyze agent failures and improve results through better data, evaluation methods, model selection, and fine-tuning. Partner with product and engineering to ship reliable improvements while tracking quality, latency, and cost.

Own product design end to end, including user flows, UI, prototypes, micro-interactions, and design systems. Partner closely with founders, engineering, and growth to create a cohesive video storytelling and editing product. Advocate for users, shape product direction, maintain high visual and interaction quality, and coordinate external creative contributors when needed.
