Ten-week internship introducing physical natural gas trading and operations across North American pipelines, hubs, contracts, nominations, scheduling, tariffs, risk, and settlement. The intern will complete a substantive project supporting traders and schedulers, collaborate with operations specialists, present results to leadership, and receive mentorship. Candidates should be current juniors graduating in spring 2028 with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills and an interest in energy or commodities.

Confirm traded gas volumes, nominate gas in pipeline and utility systems, monitor operational constraints, and support traders and counterparties. Map gas flows and balance volumes in Entrade, maintain accurate invoicing and P&L allocations, support portfolio optimization and risk management, approve transportation invoices, and investigate discrepancies for Accounting. Requires on-call weekend rotation and occasional nights and weekends.

Build and scale a profitable physical natural gas trading business: originate customers and counterparties, execute physical transactions, manage market and operational risk, coordinate with middle office and accounting, and hire and mentor a trading team focused on Gulf Coast markets.

The Customer Support Specialist will assist customers through phone, email, and chat, addressing inquiries about electricity and natural gas services, while collaborating with the Quality Control team to enhance service quality.
