Lead commercial management for assigned PJM assets: identify and mitigate commercial risks, optimize asset value, manage counterparties and joint ventures, negotiate contracts, support investment decisions, and report commercial opportunities to senior management.

Provide expert analysis and long-term forecasts for PJM and Eastern power markets. Build and improve fundamental market models, support trading and commercial decisions, manage consultants, create BI/AI tools and reports, and deliver recommendations for hedging, investment, budgeting, and asset management.

Support financial due diligence for acquisitions by reviewing financial statements, identifying accounting risks, preparing workpapers, documenting acquisition accounting (PPA, goodwill), assisting with audit/disclosure responses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on integration activities.

Provide independent middle-office market risk analysis for power, natural gas, and environmental portfolios. Validate valuation methods, govern price curves, quantify risk (VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis), assess nonlinear exposures, monitor limits and breaches, support new product approvals and structured transactions, and develop/validate pricing and risk models for generation and storage assets.

Own and govern Capital Power's end-to-end forward price curve framework: design, build, validate, and maintain curves; manage curve intake, configuration in ZEMA/Allegro, daily production monitoring, IPV, model validation, and governance reporting to senior committees.

Lead long-term fundamental power market forecasting, asset-level gross margin and dispatch modeling, and strategic market assessments for Eastern US regions. Support investment, trading, hedging, and business development with financial proformas, due diligence, and executive presentations. Monitor regulatory and ISO developments, manage external consultants, and build market dashboards to inform commercial and asset-management decisions.

12-month full-time internship supporting Market & Trading Compliance. Responsibilities include monitoring trading activity, assisting trade surveillance and data analysis, regulatory research, developing compliance policies and training materials, preparing reports and audit documentation, and collaborating with Trading, Risk, Legal, and Operations stakeholders.

Support financial performance and commercial strategy for power generation assets by building models, forecasting revenue/costs, monitoring trade P&L, preparing reports, reconciling settlements, analyzing market trends (energy, capacity, fuel, emissions), automating reporting and dashboards, and collaborating with trading, risk, finance, and asset teams.

Lead forecasting and analysis of North American power markets, producing price forecasts, dispatch and gross‑margin models, and commercial recommendations. Support asset valuation, due diligence, regulator impact assessment, and deliver presentations to senior leadership while managing consultants and building market dashboards.

Support plant operations by monitoring performance and heat balance, developing and applying engineering standards, contributing to project planning and execution, managing NERC compliance and Management of Change, and recommending technical solutions to optimize reliability and emissions. Collaborate with corporate engineering and operations teams and obtain Out-Plant Operator qualification.

Support energy markets team with data collection, analysis, and modeling to produce long-term price forecasts, asset dispatch, margin calculations, dashboards, and reports. Track policy and market developments and collaborate with trading and commercial teams to support business development and scenario analysis.

Assist with interconnection study reviews, steady-state and dynamic load flow/transfer capacity studies, create/modify electrical models, support NERC/compliance, develop tools and reports, and participate in stakeholder meetings.

Provide confidential, proactive administrative support to senior leadership in the Washington, DC office. Manage complex calendars, travel, expense and A/P processes, meeting materials and follow-ups, event planning, vendor relations, and cross‑functional coordination. Support strategic projects, maintain reports/board materials, handle inquiries, and provide backup coverage for the EA team while adhering to safety and company policies.

Prepare and post monthly journal entries, invoices, revenue and intercompany settlements for U.S. thermal and renewable assets; perform reconciliations, variance analysis, audit support, budgeting, and process improvements while partnering with operations.

Provide day-to-day engineering and technical support for ICS/OT across the power generation fleet. Design, implement, and maintain PLC/DCS/SCADA/RTU systems, network and historian administration, lifecycle management, firmware and patching, and ICS cybersecurity. Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, support sustaining capital and O&M, and ensure compliance with NERC CIP and internal engineering standards.

Provide quantitative and commercial support for North American power markets (WECC, PJM), including market analytics, pricing and modelling, deal structuring, reporting, and coordination with trading, legal, finance and operations to support origination and transactions.

Provide advanced paralegal support for corporate, securities, governance, regulatory and commercial matters. Maintain minute books and routine filings across US and Canadian entities, draft resolutions, support record-keeping and entity management systems, improve legal workflows and templates, triage legal requests, and collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to mature legal function and processes.

Develop and deploy long‑term congestion trading strategies to support asset optimization and speculative trading. Monitor portfolio exposure, report P&L, provide scenario analysis and recommendations, collaborate with traders, risk, credit, and originators, and ensure adherence to risk policies and regulatory requirements.

Support corporate G&A budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, intercompany and lease accounting. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and enterprise reporting using Power BI. Act as business partner to budget owners, improve processes, and maintain internal controls for corporate reporting.

Partner with People & Culture to design, deliver, and manage talent, learning, and development programs; facilitate workshops; support talent reviews, onboarding, and performance processes; manage learning platforms and reporting; liaise with stakeholders and vendors to ensure consistent employee and candidate experiences.
