Supports U.S. flex-generation facilities in the PJM market through financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, valuation modeling, contract analysis, variance reporting, and strategic asset management. Provides financial and accounting insights for commercial decisions, acquisitions, divestitures, and operational optimization. The role collaborates across Commercial Management, Operations, and other stakeholders, maintains effective controls, identifies process improvements, and monitors industry and regulatory developments.

Leads US tax compliance, tax provisions, tax disclosures, sales and use tax compliance, audits, forecasting, planning, and tax analysis for acquisitions and divestitures. Supports cross-border and intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, tax research, legislative compliance, and SOX controls. The role requires US public company tax experience, accounting expertise, and collaboration on financial reporting and business development activities.

Supports sustainability strategy, low-carbon solutions, venture development, and energy market intelligence. Evaluates emerging opportunities through market research, business cases, financial modeling, and strategic analysis; supports sustainability reporting and climate-related disclosures; monitors regulatory developments; and contributes to joint venture governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and executive decision-making.

Provides administrative, financial, budgeting, reporting, procurement, vendor-management, inventory, travel, contract, document-control, and training support for a power plant. Tracks budgets, forecasts, expenses, purchase orders, work orders, invoices, inventory, and financial variances; supports outage logistics and compliance; maintains supplier relationships; and serves as the site contact for finance, supply chain, and training inquiries.

Designs, supports, troubleshoots, and modernizes OT and industrial network infrastructure across power-generation facilities. Partners with plant operations, engineering teams, vendors, and contractors to deliver reliable connectivity, resolve complex technical issues, and support infrastructure projects. Contributes to OT cybersecurity through network segmentation, secure remote access, monitoring, and vulnerability management. Maintains standards and documentation while improving reliability, security, and operational performance across critical infrastructure environments.

Supports energy origination by analyzing market opportunities, developing pricing models, structuring customized energy products, and preparing commercial reporting and deal presentations. Collaborates with trading, legal, finance, operations, customers, and senior management across North American power markets, including WECC and PJM. Responsibilities include market intelligence, compliance, budgeting, transaction support, and quantitative analysis of electricity, natural gas, and environmental products.

Optimize power-generation assets and execute physical and financial power and gas trades across Western U.S. markets, including WECC, CAISO, SPP, and ERCOT. Develop trading, hedging, and risk-management strategies; evaluate structured transactions; manage counterparties, customers, brokers, and trading agreements; and collaborate with Operations, Risk Management, and Finance. The role is office-based in Calgary and requires experience flowing power across Western U.S. transmission systems.

Lead market fundamentals and electricity price forecasting for North American regions. Develop and defend market assumptions, support asset gross margin and dispatch modeling, inform investment and trading decisions, manage consultants, deliver executive briefings, monitor regulatory changes, and design market dashboards to support commercial and development activities.

Lead technical accounting work including assessing significant transactions, preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, AFFO and indirect cash flow, advising on IFRS/US GAAP issues, preparing disclosure checklists and memos, supporting auditors and senior management, and performing SOX controls.

Provide technical support, maintenance, and development for ETRM applications supporting commodity management. Apply patches and upgrades, troubleshoot complex issues, manage integrations with trading platforms, execute testing and DR planning, meet SLAs, and collaborate with business stakeholders and vendors to deliver cost-effective, scalable solutions.

Lead long-term fundamental power market forecasting, asset-level gross margin and dispatch modeling, and strategic market assessments for Eastern US regions. Support investment, trading, hedging, and business development with financial proformas, due diligence, and executive presentations. Monitor regulatory and ISO developments, manage external consultants, and build market dashboards to inform commercial and asset-management decisions.

Own and govern Capital Power's end-to-end forward price curve framework: design, build, validate, and maintain curves; manage curve intake, configuration in ZEMA/Allegro, daily production monitoring, IPV, model validation, and governance reporting to senior committees.

Provide expert analysis and long-term forecasts for PJM and Eastern power markets. Build and improve fundamental market models, support trading and commercial decisions, manage consultants, create BI/AI tools and reports, and deliver recommendations for hedging, investment, budgeting, and asset management.

Lead site engineering to optimize plant performance and longevity: monitor heat balance, develop and apply engineering standards, support projects from planning through post-implementation, manage NERC compliance and Management of Change, recommend technical solutions for emissions, controls, and equipment reliability, and provide O&M feedback and training.

Lead commercial management for assigned PJM assets: identify and mitigate commercial risks, optimize asset value, manage counterparties and joint ventures, negotiate contracts, support investment decisions, and report commercial opportunities to senior management.

Support energy markets team with data collection, analysis, and modeling to produce long-term price forecasts, asset dispatch, margin calculations, dashboards, and reports. Track policy and market developments and collaborate with trading and commercial teams to support business development and scenario analysis.

Lead forecasting and analysis of North American power markets, producing price forecasts, dispatch and gross‑margin models, and commercial recommendations. Support asset valuation, due diligence, regulator impact assessment, and deliver presentations to senior leadership while managing consultants and building market dashboards.

Lead and grow the Product Control team overseeing valuation integrity, P&L production and attribution, price curve validation, valuation model governance, SOX controls, audit support, and ETRM system improvements to ensure accurate, explainable, and compliant reporting for commodity trading.
