Teams at Capital Area Intermediate Unit

Supports students who use sign language by facilitating communication, instructional participation, language development, behavior management, and social-emotional growth. Works under teacher direction, monitors progress, assists with personal care and mobility, supports school activities, maintains records, and communicates with educational teams. May administer CPR, first aid, AED procedures, and approved restraint techniques. Requires sign language skills, paraprofessional qualification, computer proficiency, and the ability to assist children with special needs.
