Teams at California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc.

Leads satellite legal teams serving marginalized rural communities; supervises attorneys and staff, oversees litigation and advocacy quality, maintains an active caseload, develops office work plans, manages case reviews and performance, coordinates outreach and community education, and supports grants, interns, volunteers, and pro bono attorneys.

Provides civil legal services to low-income agricultural workers through advice, negotiation, litigation, and administrative advocacy. The attorney also supervises support staff, conducts statewide impact litigation, develops community leadership, coordinates with advocacy organizations, provides legal education, participates in training and task forces, and maintains case records. The role requires California bar admission or willingness to take the next California Bar Exam and a commitment to public-interest legal services.

Provides reception, phone, visitor, and intake coverage for a statewide legal services organization. Greets clients, routes inquiries, manages calendars and files, supports legal document preparation and court filings, maintains case records, enters data, updates referrals, operates office equipment, and assists attorneys and legal secretaries. The role may also provide English-Spanish interpretation and translation, maintain confidentiality, and support general law-office administration.
