Leads California Ocean Science Trust’s communications function, including strategy, institutional positioning, donor and funder communications, science and policy storytelling, digital channels, media outreach, and organizational communications systems. Advises senior leadership on messaging, reputation, timing, and political sensitivity; translates complex content for varied audiences; manages website, email, social media, analytics, editorial calendars, and communications contributors.

Manages institutional fundraising from prospecting through proposal development, budgeting, submission, reporting, renewals, and revenue forecasting. Builds foundation and corporate prospect pipelines, secures program and event sponsorships, stewards funder relationships, and maintains grant records and compliance. Collaborates with leadership, program, and finance teams to align funding opportunities with organizational priorities, develop budgets, meet deadlines, and translate science and policy work into compelling funder communications.
