Leads Burkland’s accounting service delivery organization as a manager of managers. Oversees Division Managers, project teams, and ERP support; owns division performance, staffing, capacity planning, utilization, realization, client delivery, escalations, and growth. Drives proactive advisory services, cross-functional coordination, and AI adoption across accounting workflows. Coaches managers, establishes performance standards, manages change, and represents production needs to senior leadership.

Provides strategic finance leadership to venture-backed AI and SaaS startups. Responsibilities include monthly close oversight, budgeting and forecasting, capital planning, treasury management, board reporting, investor updates, fundraising, M&A support, cap table analysis, revenue cycle management, cash flow planning, controls, audit readiness, and advising founders on financial strategy.

Lead and manage R&D tax credit and Sec.174/174A engagements: conduct technical client interviews, produce technical reports, prepare calculations and tax forms, supervise and mentor junior staff, manage engagement economics, perform technical tax research, support business development, and act as client representative with the IRS. Work remotely across many clients and industries while ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables and strengthening R&D tax expertise at the firm.
