Provide operational IT support for devices, SaaS platforms, access management, and troubleshooting across a distributed team. Own and evolve Buildkite’s open-source CI agent and infrastructure. Ship features quickly, manage production reliability, design reversible rollouts, investigate incidents, support engineers, contribute to the roadmap, and communicate clearly. The role requires strong production ownership and proficiency in Go or Ruby, with opportunities to work across Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, PostgreSQL, React, and GraphQL.

Lead developer experience for an engineering organization of approximately 80 engineers. Own improvements across CI, build tooling, codebase health, deployment paths, and AI-assisted development. Define and measure developer productivity, ship hands-on changes across languages and services, accelerate engineering workflows, evaluate and deploy agentic coding tools, and build cross-team buy-in without direct management responsibility.
