Develop, maintain, enhance, test, debug, and integrate complex software systems based on documented requirements. Analyze user and system requirements, design algorithms and database interfaces, resolve defects, improve development processes, and produce technical documentation. Higher levels lead multiple software teams, oversee quality control, coordinate installations, select development processes, recommend technologies, and manage programming and testing responsibilities.

Analyze complex hardware systems supporting SIGINT customer operations. Responsibilities include developing hardware requirements and specifications, designing system components, procuring and testing equipment, providing preventive and remedial maintenance, conducting site surveys, preparing engineering and installation documentation, configuring computers and network devices, supporting deployments, and resolving operational hardware issues. Level 1 engineers also develop installation schedules, train site personnel, and prepare technical design packages and site reports.

Provides implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring, and configuration of IT systems and infrastructure. Delivers Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, resolves server, storage, network, mobile-device, hardware, and software issues, and communicates escalations to management and customers. Manages UNIX and Windows operating systems, configures network components, optimizes system performance, performs capacity planning, and supports system architecture and complex integration problems at Level III.
