For more than 130 years our exceptional rum has been carefully crafted at our Dominican home in Puerto Plata. Just like our Founder Don Andres, our 5th generation Maestros Roneros are passionate about bringing out the very best in every cask and blend. Their absolute dedication to quality has allowed each stage of the process to be meticulously perfected over time, establishing an expertise in rum making that extends beyond the Dominican Republic. ​

​Brugal began as a family business, but with each generation, our company has grown into an extended, international family: a family of experts committed to continuing our legacy and propelling the craft of our treasured rum into the future. In 2008 we joined Edrington, which allowed us to grow and expand our network. Today, Brugal is market leader for rum in the Dominican Republic and is present in key markets including the United States, Mexico and Europe.​

Every step of the rum making process from the cultivation of raw ingredients to the bottling of our precious spirit takes place right here on Dominican soil.
