Teams at Brown University

Leads strategic research initiatives and scholarly programming for Brown University's Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America. Partners with the Faculty Director to develop the intellectual agenda, conduct needs assessments, draft research proposals, establish interdisciplinary working groups and fellowship programs, and ensure program coherence. Also supports fundraising, constituency development, partnerships, and institutional representation.

Provides operational, administrative, and program support for alumni affinity groups, shared-interest communities, and belonging initiatives. Maintains BrownConnect+, coordinates virtual and in-person events, prepares communications, administers budgets and reimbursements, tracks volunteer and registration data, conducts surveys, and supports annual reporting. Collaborates across Alumni Relations, Advancement, and University departments while providing customer service to alumni, students, families, and colleagues.

Supports university research on wearable health-monitoring sensors through design, fabrication, optical experiments, electronics development, signal processing, and data analysis. Assists with clinical studies and development of an equitable pulse oximeter, collaborates with lab members, presents findings at meetings, and may support field research. The role is full-time, onsite, and fixed-term for one year, with possible extension based on funding.
