Leads the federally funded TRIO Talent Search Grant, overseeing program planning, compliance, budget, personnel, participant recruitment, advising services, partnerships, subrecipients, performance monitoring, data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement. The role supports low-income and first-generation students in grades 6–12 through college access, career exploration, academic planning, financial aid guidance, and postsecondary preparation. The Director manages relationships with schools, community organizations, higher education institutions, and the U.S. Department of Education while ensuring grant objectives and regulations are met.

Provides financial aid counseling and processes federal, state, institutional, and foundation aid. Reviews eligibility, verifies applications, certifies loans and grants, reconciles financial aid files, calculates adjustments and return-of-funds obligations, and resolves discrepancies. Maintains complex records in federal systems, supports reporting, interprets regulations, and collaborates with college departments. May guide less experienced staff and present financial aid workshops.

Provides administrative and operational support for a college unit, including staff coordination, onboarding, records and data management, facilities requests, purchasing, budget assistance, reporting, scheduling, correspondence, and public or employee inquiries. Maintains accurate files, databases, inventories, and financial records; supports projects and problem resolution; and may train temporary or student staff. The role requires strong office software, communication, organizational, and public-contact skills.
