Teams at Brookhaven National Laboratory

Performs industrial hygiene exposure assessments, workplace surveys, field inspections, monitoring, and hazard evaluations across laboratory and operational environments. Supports respiratory protection, PPE, ergonomics, ventilation, chemical safety, and occupational health programs. Collects and analyzes samples, compares results with exposure limits, maintains technical records, and prepares reports and recommendations. Collaborates with scientists, engineers, technicians, management, and safety personnel while serving as a subject matter expert in assigned industrial hygiene areas.

Develops and executes certification test procedures for personnel protection systems at a synchrotron facility. Responsibilities include managing certification activities, configuration-controlled repairs, safety inspections, work planning, hazard analysis reviews, emergency planning, document approval, and coordination with technical teams. The role also maintains safety procedures, processes test and inspection records, and supports off-hours operational responses. Work is onsite and includes ladder climbing, extended standing, and radiation dosimeter use.

Leads planning, execution, integration, cost, schedule, risk, procurement, change control, and delivery for approximately $1B of Electron-Ion Collider scope. Oversees multidisciplinary system managers and technical activities spanning engineering, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning. Coordinates with project controls, procurement, division leaders, vendors, and federal review organizations while ensuring technical performance, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
