Assists with planning, coordinating, and managing the nursing department; oversees nursing care and services for residents, ensures compliance with company and regulatory standards, and assumes daily nursing operations when the Director of Nursing is absent.

Directs clinical education and staff development in a long-term care facility. Assesses learning needs, develops and evaluates training plans, conducts in-service education, CPR and TB certification courses, maintains compliance records and policy materials, and supports quality assurance and infection control programs. Collaborates with nursing leadership to promote regulatory compliance, employee growth, and high-quality resident care.

Calculates employee earnings, overtime, vacation and sick pay; processes payroll adjustments for employee status changes; maintains payroll records and files; updates employee data in the payroll system; and may assist with preparing and distributing paychecks.
