Manages day-to-day transport operations across the assigned area, ensuring compliance with operator licensing, DVSA regulations, drivers’ hours, tachograph requirements, health and safety standards, and company policies. Supervises, recruits, trains, and assesses drivers; coordinates vehicle maintenance, defect repairs, breakdown recovery, and fleet utilization; conducts site gate checks and audits. The role also supports transport projects, customer service, cost control, and operational continuity in the Regional Transport Manager’s absence.

Operate and batch asphalt at the plant, perform general maintenance, use loading shovel and weighbridge equipment, and support daily site operations. The role requires adherence to safety, environmental, quality, and operational procedures, with flexibility for occasional night work and the ability to remain composed under pressure.

Supports the Quarry Manager in safely and efficiently operating a quarry site. Responsibilities include coordinating blasting, crushing, screening, stockpiling, maintenance, quality control, budgets, inventory, safety inspections, environmental compliance, production planning, and contractor supervision. Deputises for the Quarry Manager when required and serves as the Responsible Person in their absence.
