Bread for the City

Bread for the City is a Washington, DC nonprofit that helps residents with low incomes reduce the burdens of poverty and build power in their communities. It provides free groceries and clothing, primary and behavioral health care, dental and vision services, social supports, and legal advice and representation. The organization also advances justice through community organizing, client-led advocacy, and work to address racism and the root causes of poverty.
