Designs and improves reliability, scalability, and performance for Box’s distributed backend services. Responsibilities include analyzing workloads and metrics, building load-testing and capacity-modeling frameworks, optimizing services and cloud resources, integrating performance validation into CI/CD, supporting incident root-cause analysis, and advancing observability standards. The role partners broadly with product, platform, infrastructure, and SRE teams to prevent performance regressions and improve system health.

Leads the design and implementation of scalable, reliable metadata platform services. Responsibilities include building cloud-based microservices, using Kubernetes, Docker, BigTable, and Istio, shaping platform vision and roadmaps, mentoring engineers, and improving engineering processes. Requires 4+ years of software development experience, cloud microservices expertise, proficiency in languages such as Java, Go, Scala, or Python, and experience with Kafka or Pub/Sub.

Manage a portfolio of mid-market SaaS accounts, building relationships that drive adoption, renewals, retention, and expansion. Lead discovery sessions, value reviews, product demos, and executive conversations. Forecast renewals, monitor account health, create account plans, identify risks and opportunities, and execute proactive customer-success playbooks. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues, provide customer insights, and improve processes while leveraging AI-enabled workflows.
