Engages and solicits Boston Symphony Orchestra donors and prospects capable of making six-figure gifts. Develops donor strategies, coordinates board and staff involvement, identifies new prospects, tracks outreach and gifts in CRM software, and supports annual, endowment, capital, and special project fundraising. The role includes donor relationship management, travel to Tanglewood, and occasional evening and weekend events.

Manages daily orchestra personnel operations for multiple ensembles, including musician scheduling, rosters, payroll, personnel records, guest musician coordination, auditions, tenure reviews, fellowship administration, tours, and Trade Agreement compliance. Serves as a key contact for musicians, conductors, and internal departments while handling sensitive personnel matters, complex schedules, changing priorities, and special projects. The role includes evening, weekend, holiday, domestic, and international work as assigned, plus seasonal relocation to Tanglewood.

Supports the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Education and External Engagement Department through administrative coordination, event and program support, project database management, meeting preparation, data analysis, fiscal tracking, vendor payments, and community engagement initiatives. The intern helps advance educational programming, brand awareness, strategic planning, and external partnerships while assisting with concerts and other events.
