Leads end-to-end industrial automation projects from purchase order through delivery, managing schedules, budgets, risks, quality, customer relationships, scope changes, milestone payments, and profitability. Coordinates cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams, facilitates design and project reviews, drives recovery planning, and oversees commercial execution. Supports proposal planning, development, customer presentations, and negotiations.

Design, program, integrate, and commission industrial automation systems combining PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and machine vision. Responsibilities include developing controls and safety PLC programs, integrating I/O and communications, configuring 2D and 3D vision systems, supporting AI-enabled inspection tools, troubleshooting technical issues, and optimizing system accuracy, uptime, and repeatability. The role involves onsite commissioning and collaboration across the full project lifecycle, with travel across the United States and Canada as required.

Partner with sales to create detailed automation quotations: analyze production processes, design mechanical concepts and station-level BOMs, coordinate suppliers and engineering, produce cost estimates, present solutions to customers, improve team tools/processes, and mentor colleagues.

Lead mechanical design for custom automation systems using SolidWorks. Develop concepts, produce detailed drawings and BOMs, coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, and project teams, mentor junior designers, generate RFQs, troubleshoot build issues, and support applications and standards development.

Design, program, test, and commission PLC and HMI control systems for automated machinery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot I/O, motion, and communications, create documentation, ensure safety/quality compliance, and support on-site commissioning and customer acceptance.

Lead development of machine vision and automation solutions, act as primary technical contact, perform site visits and feasibility reviews, prepare detailed quotations, collaborate with engineering and manufacturing, support customer engagements, maintain CRM and project documentation, and drive continuous improvement.

Design, develop, and commission integrated automation systems combining PLC controls, robotics, and 2D/3D machine vision. Program PLCs and HMIs, integrate I/O and communications, configure vision platforms (Cognex, Keyence, LMI, Matrox, Mech-Mind, Photoneo), implement AI-enabled inspection, and perform onsite commissioning and troubleshooting to optimize system performance and safety.
