Semester-long onsite internship in KTAR’s News/Talk department. The intern will learn newsroom operations, pull audio, conduct interviews, create on-air and online content, produce podcasts and interviews, operate an audio console, select talk-show stories, prepare programs, and screen callers. The role requires current college enrollment, eligibility for academic internship credit, basic computer skills, and a 15–25-hour weekly schedule.

Semester-long internship splitting time between digital sports content and radio sports programming. Responsibilities include writing and publishing sports news, using press releases, interviews, audio, aggregation, and social media; learning website planning and strategy; pulling and editing audio; producing sports interviews; and observing talk-show planning and execution.

Produces and executes KTAR’s live morning news program, coordinating hosts, guests, segments, rundowns, breaking-news coverage, and editorial decisions. Writes and voices news stories, books interviews, and converts guest segments into broadcast content. Identifies broadcast highlights for short-form social video, manages program social accounts, and creates promotional audio and video. Collaborates across newsroom and digital teams and fills in as a news host when needed.

As an on-call anchor/reporter, you will deliver live news updates, perform field reporting, conduct interviews, and write news scripts while adapting to variable schedules.
