Responsibilities include master layouts, technical and cost calculations, machine design, cross-functional coordination with controls and software engineers, and resolving field issues during customer site visits. Requires mechanical engineering expertise, robotic machine design experience, SolidWorks/PDM proficiency, and knowledge of pneumatic systems, fabrication techniques, and materials.

Coordinates inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments, import/export documentation, customs-related paperwork, inventory transactions, packaging, carrier arrangements, and shipment issue resolution. Leads shipping and receiving employees through training, mentoring, and daily direction. Maintains inventory accuracy, manages vendor returns and materials, communicates with customers and vendors, and supports warehouse organization and shipping procedures.

Develops technical proposals and documentation for packaging machinery, including design, pricing, and customer specifications. Supports Latin American and Mexico sales teams, maintains CRM and pricing structures, consults engineering on nonstandard applications, communicates with customers and suppliers, and optimizes product lines for cost and technical performance. The role also researches new technologies, attends industry trade shows, and requires up to 15% travel.

Designs mechanical systems and components for standard and custom packaging machinery from concept through acceptance testing. Owns master layouts, develops technical and cost calculations, coordinates with mechanical, controls, software, purchasing, fabrication, applications, and service teams, and supports machine build, implementation, customer site visits, and field issue resolution. Requires machine design experience, robotic manufacturing exposure, pneumatics and motor sizing knowledge, and proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and FEA.

Develop and commission control systems for high-speed, vision-guided robotic packaging machinery. Program ABB robots and Allen-Bradley PLCs, integrate Cognex vision, servo motion, HMIs, and emerging Beckhoff platforms, and validate systems through simulation, testing, installation, and customer startup. Troubleshoot integrated electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and software systems; optimize machine performance; support customers; maintain code standards; mentor junior engineers; and travel internationally and domestically up to 25%.

Designs and modifies electrical schematics for packaging machinery, selects components, performs heat-load and SCCR calculations, and prepares bills of materials. Uses Kinetics ERP and CADLink to manage parts, jobs, and documentation. Collaborates with manufacturing and engineering teams, supports assembly, performs value engineering and automation improvements, maintains customer relationships, and ensures compliance with UL, NEC, and NFPA 79 standards. The onsite role requires periodic travel of up to 25%.
