Leads the strategy, planning, and execution of capital and other major fundraising campaigns from feasibility through close-out. Develops campaign cases, timelines, gift-range charts, and stakeholder plans; manages prospect pipelines, pledges, reporting, consultants, and volunteer leadership. Cultivates and closes leadership-level gifts, coordinates cross-functional teams, prepares executive and Board materials, and ensures ethical fundraising, accounting, and governance practices.

Coordinates strategic partnerships, coalition governance, policy research, communications, meetings, and cross-functional projects supporting military and veteran families. Maintains partnership and member records in Salesforce, tracks timelines and commitments, prepares briefings and presentations, supports stakeholder engagement, and assists with convenings and events. The role requires strong research, writing, organization, confidentiality, and independent remote-work skills, with overnight travel several times per year.

Leads fundraising for the National Capital Region chapter by managing individual, corporate, and foundation donors; building a portfolio of at least 30 major-gift prospects; pursuing sponsorships and grants; supporting donor events and recognition; maintaining Salesforce records; and partnering with chapter and national teams. The role requires local community presence, frequent local travel, periodic overnight travel, and occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work.
