Teams at Blue Star Families

Serve as the sole in-house attorney and HR leader, providing strategic legal counsel, managing contracts and compliance, overseeing HR strategy and employee relations, leading risk management and governance, coordinating outside counsel, and supporting organizational operations, training, and investigations to enable mission-driven nonprofit work.

Manage Blue Star Families' Outposts network: vet and select local partners, onboard and train outposts, coordinate programming and evaluation, monitor budgets/contracts and KPIs, support expansion and stakeholder engagement, manage marketing and fundraising support, and drive cross-functional alignment to achieve annual Outpost goals.

Lead the Hampton Roads chapter as the senior executive responsible for strategy, fundraising (six-figure gifts), operations, program delivery, staff and volunteer management, advisory board development, community partnerships, and measurable impact aligned to national KPIs. Ensure fiscal compliance, data-driven evaluation, storytelling, and regional visibility while supporting growth and sustainability.
