Directs the planning and execution of national, regional, virtual, and high-profile events for a nonprofit supporting military families. Manages the Events Team, vendors, budgets, guest lists, registration, VIP protocols, stakeholder relationships, event materials, and post-event reporting. Collaborates with Development, Marketing Communications, Technology, and Brand Partnerships to deliver mission-aligned experiences, support donor stewardship, and improve event performance through analytics. Requires DC Metro residency, periodic overnight travel, and occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Major Gifts Officer leads California fundraising strategy and manages a portfolio of high-capacity donors, corporate leaders, family foundations, and institutional partners. Responsibilities include securing major and principal gifts, cultivating prospects, developing pipelines, forecasting revenue, managing CRM activity, coordinating with development and national campaigns, attending philanthropic and civic events, and representing the organization. The role requires regular regional travel, periodic overnight travel, and occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work.
