The General Counsel leads Blaze’s legal function and serves as primary legal advisor to executive leadership and business units. Responsibilities include banking and regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, litigation, contracts, vendor matters, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, employment law, and regulatory examinations. The role manages outside counsel, supports strategic initiatives, advises on complex transactions, and promotes ethical and compliant operations across the credit union.

Provides production support, maintenance, configuration, testing, and implementation for core banking and business systems. Deploys and troubleshoots applications, servers, hardware, networks, databases, integrations, automation tools, and file transmissions. Implements financial system releases, documents configurations, develops functional specifications, and participates in project life cycles. Resolves internal technology requests, supports disaster recovery planning, mentors IT specialists, and partners with credit union management while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Leads cross-functional projects from intake through implementation, gathering requirements, assessing impacts, documenting solutions, managing stakeholders and vendors, tracking budgets and timelines, and reporting progress to leadership. The role also supports testing, system reviews, issue resolution, and continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with member expectations.
