The role includes securing six- and seven-figure grants, monitoring revenue pipelines and compliance, managing budgets and resources, and representing the function in senior development and principal gifts groups.

Leads BirdLife International’s major and principal gifts program, developing strategy, pipeline, donor relationships, and revenue performance across global markets. Personally manages £250k–£1m+ donor portfolios, supports £1m+ principal gifts, coaches a four-person team, and oversees targets, budgets, recruitment, and resource allocation. The role requires cultivating high-value individual donors, driving new business, reporting pipeline health, and collaborating across an international nonprofit environment.
