Supervise sawmill production operations, ensuring safety, quality, recovery, productivity, and equipment reliability. Lead, train, coach, and evaluate hourly employees; manage staffing, attendance, and employee relations. Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and other departments to reduce downtime and improve production flow. Monitor operational data, investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, maintain required reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives while complying with company policies, labor agreements, and regulations.

Develops and maintains customer relationships, generates sales through prospecting and outbound calls, responds to product and pricing inquiries, follows up on orders and opportunities, coordinates customer meetings, monitors market trends, maintains sales records, and represents the company at events and customer visits. The role requires up to 30% travel and occasional evening or weekend availability.

Maintains, repairs, installs, rebuilds, and performs preventive maintenance on mill production machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, hydraulics, rollers, chains, and bearings. Troubleshoots equipment, interprets blueprints and schematics, operates lifting devices, performs corrective maintenance, supports safety initiatives, assists other trades, and identifies operational improvements.
